  • Demonstrated digital capability across clinical systems and platforms that contribute to cancer control activities, data collection and reporting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of rural and remote issues related to nursing and service delivery.

Job Requirements:

Position Profile:

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse Specialist - Oncology Haematology is to work in partnership across all areas of the health service to improve the quality and continuity of care and support provided to clients receiving systemic treatment for cancer and other non-malignant conditions across the continuum of care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as an Oncology Haematology resource person for staff and patients and their significant others throughout the region.
  • Provides clinical oncology haematology nursing knowledge and care coordination across the organisation.
  • Demonstrates leadership and role modelling
  • Promotes maintenance of clinical standard setting and monitoring, policy development and change management as required to improve the patient’s management.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).
