Annual package range $86,865.22 to $99,332.74 includes annual allowances (conditions apply). Starting salary is negotiable, dependent on skills and experience.

About the Position

We are seeking suitable applicants for the full-time role of Waste Collection Operator to join our Waste Services team.

Reporting to the Waste Coordinator, this position plays a vital role in providing essential waste services to the local community. The main duties of this role are daily commercial and residential waste collection duties, ensuring the waste truck is clean, operational and delivering a high quality of service. This position will also assist the wider Waste Services team where operational needs require.

Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organised, reliable, and able to work as part of a team with a strong commitment to safety. A current HR license is essential for this role, and previous experience operating a waste truck will be highly regarded, however 'on-the-job' training will be provided for the right candidate.

This position offers a competitive remuneration package and six weeks’ annual leave. All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2022.
