We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boning Room Supervisor to join our team at our processing facility in Inverell NSW. As the Boning Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our boning room, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

Job Requirements:

The role:

The Boning Room Supervisor plays an integral part in the business. You will be responsible for a team of up to 40 in your line/area and provide leadership and direction to the team to ensure a productive and efficient operation, on time and within budget and to required standards.

To be successful in this role you will lead by example and promote and embed a high-performance team culture including a proactive approach to Safety, Quality and Customer Service and aligns people, culture, and company values.


Key responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of safety policies and procedures and drives a positive safety culture
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance protocols and standards
  • Lead and coordinate the boning ream team to ensure efficient and timely processing of beef products
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet demand
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities
  • Address any performance issues promptly and conduct regular performance evaluations with all team members
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, QA, People & Culture, Safety etc
  • Maintain separation and segregation of lots of animals through the boning process, eg. Organic, NOP USDA organic, Natural, MSA, Grain fed, hot boning etc.
  • Vision for continuous improvement principles; and problem-solving experience;
  • A strong work ethic, with the capability to multitask and prioritise;
  • Knowledge of Operational tasks and skilled labour functions
  • Provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the team

Skills and experience required:


  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Meat Industry, with a strong background in boning room operations.
  • Beef Specification level 2 and Standards officer for Boning Room
  • Certificate IV in Meat Processing; Leadership and or Meat Safety
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and practical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changes and challenged with a proactive and positive mindset


  • Computer Skills - Basic Microsoft Office suite;
  • A practical knowledge of QA and HACCP methodologies;
  • Meat Standards Australia (MSA)
