About the Role:

Due to continued growth and project awards, NRW Civil and Mining are currently seeking experienced Earthworks Supervisors to join the high performing teams on our upcoming Civil Projects.

To be considered for this position as an Earthworks Supervisor you must possess the following as a minimum:

  • Extensive supervisory experience across bulk earthworks
  • Experience in the operation of Caterpillar and Hitachi earth moving equipment
  • A strong safety focused approach to delivering your work
  • Ability to lead, develop and mentor own crew
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with effective organisational skills

As an Earthworks Supervisor reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Manage and supervise the mobile plant earthworks employees and sub-contractors
  • Supervise civil works as required
  • Ensure safe productivity whilst meeting daily targets, including planning of work activities
  • Delivery of daily pre-start and toolbox meetings
  • Monitor quality and ensure the contractor meets their contractual quality obligations
  • Identify and solve construction issues and communicate and resolve engineering issues with support staff
  • Monitor progress of personnel and equipment requirements
  • Confirm quantities and month end certificates
  • Maintain a high level of safety standards at all times including leading by example to encourage safe work practices
  • Provide coaching and development strategies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and specifications and that client requirements are implemented
