Job Requirements:

About the Role

 

We currently have opportunities for Electricians within the RSM Plant Maintenance team, reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor. As an Electrical Engineering Technician (Electrician) - Plant Maintenance, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance servicing or repairs, conducting inspections and performing fault-finding on Plant Maintenance equipment to BHP procedures and Australian Standards. Our workshops have various CNC Machines and Automatic process equipment, such as the Mooka Workshop, which is fully automated with the latest technology in Process Controls/Automations and Robotics.

 

These roles are on a 7 days & 7 nights roster with 14 days off, FIFO from Perth or based Residential in Port Hedland.

 

  • Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
  • Maintain a high standard of work ensuring quality in all tasks
  • Work closely with all employees and stakeholders to analyze performance issues, develop, and implement strategies for improvement
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the automated equipment including predictive and preventative maintenance measures
  • Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvements
  • Notify Supervisor of any defects/damage on any Plant Maintenance equipment
  • Participating in a positive inclusive & diverse culture

 

About You

 

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

 

  • A Grade Western Australian electrical license
  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • Excellent Electrical knowledge & interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • 1SAP Maintenance system
  • CNC Sinumerik Automation System (Highly regarded)
  • Have experience with PLC (Siemens), HMI/Scada, VSD
  • Demonstrate strong experience & knowledge with Hydraulic & Pneumatics systems
  • Maintenance environments and breakdown/fault finding experiences in industrial environment
  • Experience in an automations, process control environment or manufacturing industry (Highly regarded)
