Job Requirements:

About the Role

RUC Mining currently have an opportunity for Trade qualified Fitters to join our Kalgoorlie service team. The roster will be 5 shifts on and 2 shifts off.

Location: Kalgoorlie

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or higher in Fitter, Turner, machinist, or relevant qualification
  • Additional 5 years of experience in similar role may be considered in lieu of qualifications.
  • Experience in mining environment preferable.
  • Strong knowledge in pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Strong knowledge in repair and maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Able to provide National Police clearance (within 6 months of commencement)
  • Working at Heights tickets required.
  • First aid certificate required.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting of mechanical faults and replace parts if needed.
  • Proven experience in operating lathe, milling, cutting, bending and other associated machineries.
  • Disassemble and assemble machine parts, engines and replace worn out parts
  • Interpret drawing and job specifications to determine desired material, tools, and machine setting
  • Proven experience with MIG, TIG welding and metal fabrication processes.
  • Design and setup jigs and fixtures to the execute job as per required standard.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of plant machineries.
  • Updating maintenance logbooks.
  • Check work in process and finished product quality
