About the Position

City Health (Geraldton) Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time General Practitioner to join our established general practice in Geraldton, Western Australia.

We are looking for a motivated and patient-focused medical practitioner committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based and comprehensive primary healthcare.

IMG and non-VR doctors are welcome to apply. VR doctors are also encouraged to apply. Visa sponsorship and other support may be considered for suitable applicants, subject to eligibility and applicable requirements.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with experienced general practitioners, nursing and administrative staff in a supportive multidisciplinary practice environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive general practice consultations, assessments and patient care
• Conducting patient examinations and developing appropriate treatment and management plans
• Prescribing medications in accordance with relevant legislation and clinical guidelines
• Ordering, reviewing and managing appropriate investigations and diagnostic tests
• Referring patients to specialists, allied health professionals and other healthcare providers when appropriate
• Providing preventative healthcare and participating in chronic disease management
• Maintaining accurate, complete and contemporaneous clinical records
• Providing culturally safe, respectful and patient-centred healthcare
• Working collaboratively with other medical practitioners, nurses and administrative staff
• Participating in clinical meetings, professional development and quality improvement activities
• Complying with Medicare requirements, professional standards and practice policies and procedures

Skills and Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Appropriate medical qualifications and eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia/Ahpra
• Sound clinical judgement and relevant experience
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills
• Commitment to patient-centred care, professional standards and ongoing development.
