Central Regional TAFE is responsible for delivering customer focused, industry aligned training and pathways to higher education to build a skilled, productive and employment ready workforce.  We deliver 185 courses to 10,000 students each year in the Mid West region - Geraldton, Batavia Coast Maritime Institute and Technology Park, the Gascoyne region - Carnarvon and Exmouth, the Goldfields region – Kalgoorlie and the Wheatbelt region - Northam, Merredin and Moora.

Job Requirements:

About the role
The Government Officer is responsible for the performance of various administrative tasks to support the day-to-day activities of the relevant branch and support organisational objectives.  Duties may include providing a high-quality customer service, undertaking administrative tasks, using systems and programs and accurately maintaining records and files.

You will have computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheet and database entry and experience in the provision of high-quality customer service.

Other Conditions and Eligibility
Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).

Should a position become available that is to cover maternity leave, please note that under the employment requirements for maternity leave, there is provision for end of contract with 4 weeks’ notice upon early return to work of substantive occupant. Likewise, should the substantive occupant wish to extend their maternity leave or return on a part time basis, the College may seek to extend your contract, and with your agreement at an FTE to be negotiated.
