About the Opportunity

Due to significant growth over the recent years, Piacentini & Son requires a Human Resources Administration Assistant to support the day-to-day operations within the Human Resources (HR) department. The role is based at our Picton location, working Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining HR records, assisting with recruitment processes, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the department. There is also the opportunity to work towards your Certificate IV in Human Resources while in the role. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team for an 18-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. This role offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate their skills and expertise with the potential for continued permanent employment upon completion of the contract term.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities  

  • Provide administrative assistance to the recruitment team
  • Assist with employee onboarding including issuing new starter information, employment contracts and coordinating mobilization to site
  • Maintain accurate HR records and employee files
  • Reviewing, revising, and updating company policies
  • Respond to internal and external HR-related enquiries

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within HR
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
