We are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic/ Fitter to join our team in Kununurra.  This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a background in heavy diesel equipment maintenance and repair duties as follows:

• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, & repairs on heavy diesel equipment, including trucks, loaders, excavators, and other machinery
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and technical manuals
• Overhaul engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems are required
• Fabricate and weld components as necessary
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately
• Be prepared to travel within the region and the NT for break down repairs

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Fitter
• Proven experience in heavy diesel equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a workshop or field service environment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions & hydraulics
• Experience with welding and fabrication techniques
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends if required
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in challenging environment
