About the role

Chatr is seeking a Social Worker or Counselor to deliver flexible, person-centred support to individuals navigating complex social issues including mental health challenges, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), domestic violence, and housing instability. You will work within a team that prioritises trauma-informed care and client-centred approaches to create meaningful change.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver case management, counselling, and advocacy services to individuals facing social and mental health challenges
• Collaborate with community organizations and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support
• Empower clients by helping them navigate housing, AOD, domestic violence, and other critical issues
• Adapt your approach to provide flexible, client-led care that makes a lasting difference

About you

• Proven experience in social work or counselling, with strong case management and community engagement skills
• Deep knowledge of mental health, trauma-informed care, AOD, domestic violence, housing, and social services
• Degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a related field
• AASW membership (for social workers) or equivalent for counsellors
• Driver Licence (Required)
• Work Authorisation: Australia (Required)
• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Geraldton WA before starting work
