Role Highlights:

Offered as a Full Time, Part Time or Casual Opportunity out of our Forrestfield (with Travel) or Northam Sites. As an Education Professional, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality training primarily in 22473VIC Certificate II in General Education drawing on your experience gained as a teacher or extensive background working with young people facing LLN challenges. This qualification addresses the education and training needs of adults who require literacy, basic math, and general education skills to access further study, employment, or community participation. Your focus will be on developing learners’ literacy skills, including interpreting and creating complex texts, as well as applying numeracy knowledge in various contexts. Additionally, you’ll guide learners through projects, pathways, and learning plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and conduct engaging training sessions for students with identified barriers to learning.
  • Assess and validate units of competency according to national standards.
  • Facilitate student assessments for competency units.
  • Contribute to the validation and moderation of learning resources and assessments.
  • Provide timely feedback to students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and assessment markings.
  • Adapt and enhance learning resources and assessment tools as needed.
  • Engage in industry consultation activities and contribute to new program development.
  • Lead or participate in excursions related to the field.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary teaching degree or experience delivering foundations skills programs to young people.
  • Current or equivalent statements of attainment for areas of expertise.
  • Experience in training and assessing. (Desired)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Education – TAE40116 or later. (Desired)
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and Working with Children's Check
