About the Role

This is a hands-on Yard Hand position based in Karratha, involving general yard duties, manual handling, equipment movement and maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment.

You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the yard, including loading and unloading materials, moving and positioning equipment, general cleaning and housekeeping, and assisting trades and other team members as required.

The role will suit someone who is reliable, physically fit, hands-on and comfortable working outdoors in a busy yard environment.

Key Responsibilities

• General yard duties and housekeeping
• Load, unload and move materials, equipment and supplies
• Assist with organising and maintaining the yard
• Move and position machinery, tools and equipment as required
• Assist with loading and securing items for transport
• Perform manual handling and lifting tasks safely
• Assist trades and other team members with general duties
• Use basic hand tools and equipment safely
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures
• Conduct basic checks of equipment and report any issues
• Assist with general maintenance and yard tasks as required
• Complete other duties as directed

What You Will Need

Previous yard, labouring, warehousing or similar experience preferred

Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling

Ability to safely lift, move and position materials and equipment

Basic knowledge of hand tools and their safe use

Strong attention to detail

Reliable with a strong work ethic

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills

Commitment to workplace health and safety

Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment

Ability to commence immediately
