About the role

CM Drilling PTY LTD is seeking a Trainee Driller to join our teams across Western Australia. This full-time position is responsible for providing support to drillers/owners and learning the skills required to become a qualified driller.

What you'll be doing

1. Assist drillers/owners with setting up, operating and maintaining drilling rigs and associated equipment
2. Learn and develop the skills needed to safely and effectively operate drilling rigs
3. Carry out general labouring duties around the drilling site
4. Maintain a safe and organised work environment
5. Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
6. Conducting Geotechnical diamond, air and water bore drilling.
7. Work ad-hoc rosters
8. Willing to work short/long swings as required.

What we're looking for

1. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn the skills required to become a qualified driller
2. Good physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding manual labour in austere conditions.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills
4. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
5. Must hold an HR (Heavy Rigid) class driver's licence
6. Must have full Australian working rights
7. Minimum of 1 year previous drilling or mining industry experience required
