Pilbara Resource Group (PRG) is seeking an experienced HV Electrician to join our maintenance team, supporting mining operations through the safe and efficient maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of high voltage electrical systems on mobile mining equipment.

This role is ideal for a qualified Electrician with HV Switching competency and experience working on electric haul trucks. Experience with Komatsu 730, 830 and 930 haul trucks is highly regarded.

Working closely with Maintenance Supervisors and site personnel, you will play a key role in maximising equipment reliability, minimising downtime and maintaining safe, compliant electrical operations.

The Role

• FIFO roster of 2 weeks on / 1 week off, working days and nights.
• Perform high voltage electrical maintenance, inspections, testing and repairs on mobile mining equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and high voltage faults to minimise equipment downtime.
• Carry out HV switching and isolation activities in accordance with site procedures and authorised competencies.
• Maintain electrical systems, motors, controls, wiring, sensors and associated components.
• Respond to breakdowns and provide field and workshop maintenance support.
• Complete preventative maintenance, inspections and scheduled work orders.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and high voltage documentation.
• Comply with all site safety procedures, electrical regulations and isolation requirements.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and operational teams to support equipment availability and production targets.

Skills & Experience

• Australian-recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining mobile plant in mining or heavy industry.
• Current HV Switching ticket/competency.
• Experience working on electric haul trucks is essential.
• Komatsu 730, 830 and 930 haul truck experience highly regarded.
• Strong electrical fault-finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Sound understanding of HV safety, isolations, LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Previous FIFO mining experience highly regarded.

Requirements

• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Current National Police Clearance.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
• Ability to complete site inductions and work a FIFO 2/1 roster, including days and nights.
